Jill gave me an award

Shameless says: Those people I've given this award to are encouraged to post it on their own blogs; list three things they believe are necessary for good, powerful writing; and then pass the award on to the five blogs they want to honour, who in turn pass it on to five others, etc etc. Let's send a roar through the blogosphere!

THREE THINGS THAT ARE NECESSARY FOR GOOD, POWERFUL WRITING:

This is what Jill said about me.... Silly girl! I love her.
Laura at DYSFUNCTIONAL-LOVE IN A METAL WARD-
My fifth award goes to my sister Laura. This is one honest woman! Laura "tells it like it is!" She deals with two sons everyday and like the rest of us, struggles with day to day. Laura is HILARIOUS! She is constantly writing about things that make me laugh. I love going to her blog and seeing some new story she has written about. I also love how genuine she is. Laura has a big heart.

1 Humor: I think it is very important to have humor in your writing. Even if the topic is a sad one....you gotta add something funny!

2 Knowledge: Know what you are writing about...all aspects!

3 And as Jill said...Honesty: If you are writing about....whatever...Be honest.

My five....four

Amie- at "The Hullabaloo"
I could read anything from Amie for hours on end. The depth she goes into just amazes me. You can feel her happiness or pain from what she writes and I love it...and her.

Brent- at "Mr. Know it all"
Brent makes me laugh. I don't leave comments on his blog, but it's not cuz I don't read it....I do. He is truly Mr. Know it all. I love you Brent.

Jamie- at "Life in a northern town"
What can I say about my sister Jamie that hasn't already been said by MANY. She is so dedicated to keeping in touch with everyone on this earth...I don't know how she does it. She blogs more then anyone I know.

Jill- at "Everyday"
I love my Jilly. When I can't talk to her on the phone I just have to look at her blog to know how she is doing. Thanks for keeping it real Jill. I love you.

I am really gonne have to think about my last one....I will let you know.

I loved this one Jill!!!

Your Karaoke Theme Song is "Livin' On a Prayer"

You believe the best things in life are mostly forgotten, and you're definitely more than a little nostalgic .
You're likely to still like the same foods, fashions, and music as you did when you were a teenager.

You have a knack for knowing what elements of pop culture people have missed, without them even realizing it.
It's great to remember the past, but don't forget that not everyone is as stuck in it as you are.

You might also sing: "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Rapper's Delight," and "Cherry Pie"

Stay away from people who sing: "Toxic"

Thanks Jill!

Your Personality Is Like Heroin

You're capable of the highest highs and the lowest lows.
Addicted to feeling good, you'll do almost anything to avoid pain.
People seek you out, even though you can be quite moody. They're hooked on you!

I am a female!

I guess it's a good thing I have boobs!

Your Brain is 67% Female, 33% Male

Your brain leans female
You think with your heart, not your head
Sweet and considerate, you are a giver
But you're tough enough not to let anyone take advantage of you!
Don't know if I agree with this one either.

My theme song.

I don't know about this.....oh well.

Your Theme Song is Beautiful Day by U2

"Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away"

You see the beauty in life, especially in ordinary everyday moments.
And if you're feeling down, even that seems a little beautiful too.
