Tuesday night Matt and Steve (He is our home teacher) came over to give Gabe a blessing before his surgery on Wednesday morning. I am so thankful for them. Just hearing the blessing gave me piece of mind that Gabe would be OK. I know some people are saying it is just his leg, But you never know what could happen while he is in surgery. Everything went really well and he was out of surgery in 2 hours and 45 minutes.

This is Jim, He is the one that took us down to the
pre-op room.

Walking down the hall to
pre-op.

Jared is such a ham.

This is Dr. Chamberlain, He was the anesthesiologist. I liked him.

Giving Gabe some love.

This is Debi, One of the
pre-op nurse's

This is where they put his nerve block. It's the back of his leg right above his knee. He didn't like that very much.

Jared, Darrin and Nurse Tina.

After surgery and back in his room. This is Sherry, she is the nurse that brought him back to his room.

This was his nurse after surgery, Nurse Teri.

The respiratory nurse, Rhonda

Nurse Jennifer.

Nurse Margie.

Nurse Diann.

OK, The next few picture's are kinda icky, So I hope you didn't just eat......................
First little bit of bleeding after surgery.

The brace was hurting Gabe's heel so Dr. Hanson came in to fix it.
Ooh, Look at those stitches.

Putting new gauze on before wrapping it up.

He was discharged at 1:45 today and is now trying to rest on his own bed in his own room. He hurts pretty bad. He has some pretty good drugs, But as his mom, I get to make sure that he doesn't take too many too often. They are in the mom safe...
lol. Thanks for all the prayers. We love you all.

I’m so sorry he has to go through that. How many stitches does he have? Do the doctors think he will be able to do everything after it heals? I don't know what else to say but that really sucks. Keep us posted.
I am so glad you guys are home and Gabe is doing okay...keep him dosed up! ;) I don't know who said "it's JUST his leg", because ANY surgery is dangerous--anytime you are exposed to anesthesia and hospital infection, worry is totally justifiable! But I am glad Matt came and brought some peace. If you got the same feeling that I did, it's that Gabriel's work in life is not done, and his life will be preserved until it is. I like that message :) We love and miss you guys so much and hope all goes well in the healing process. HUGS!!!
I am glad the surgery is over now and he can start the healing process. I can't imagine how bad it hurts! I am sure Gabe loves the attention though. Give him a love from Aunt Jill.
