Ahhh.....February!

So far February has pretty much been Go Go Go. I feel like I need a two week vacation of pure relaxation.....Maybe on a nice quite beach somewhere.
I think the only reason I like Darrin working the night shift is that when a holiday falls on a day/night that he has to work, I get to wake up to pretty things like this.........................
My beautiful roses my honey got me for Valentine's Day.

On Monday (President's Day) I heard a helicopter, that sounded pretty low, Fly over the apartment. I went outside to take a look and saw the said helicopter landing in the high school football field. I grabbed the camera and told Jared to put his shoes on. We walked across the street and over to the football field.
I asked Jared if he thought it was a good idea if we got closer. He said " Mom, I don't think that would be a good idea". I started walking down the little hill and he followed, not sure of weather or not we would get into trouble. I said "What's the worst they can say? Sorry, But you can't come any closer!". As we got a little closer the pilot started to walk towards me and I asked "Can we come closer to take a few picture's?" What do you think he said.............."That would be fine.....Would you like to sit inside?". What....."Sit inside?" I thought to myself.....Oh heck yeah!

The first shot inside.
Jared and I sitting inside the cool Homeland Security helicopter.
The seal on the nose.
Taking off. They were there for the Meth awareness march to the Capital. It was too cool.
I have spent the last nine days visiting my FAVORITE (old) lady at the hospital. She went in for severe stomach pains.
Well she was released today with the worries that there was nothing else the hospital could do for her. She will have hospice come in to help her, But she and her (adopted, not really) kids felt very strongly that I stay involved in her care. I do love this lady! She has grown on me.....like a tumor.....one that you don't want to get rid of. I'll keep saying my prayers for her, I just don't know if they will be for her to get better or to go home to our Heavenly Father.

That is so fun for Jared to sit in the helicopter! Fun for you too, but an 8 yr old probably thought that was awesome!

Sorry you have gotten so attached to the lady, but it is better she be on the other side if it means she will feel better. Just give her lots of loves and take care of her until the time comes.

I'm not even eight and I think it's pretty awesome that the Homeland Security pilot was so cool about letting you see the helicopter!
