I went to see my Doctor on Wednesday so she could look at a weird spot on my right breast and to ask her if she could do a blood test to check my thyroid. She said the spot on my breast wasn't something she was concerned about. I thought " OK great ". I talked to her about my mood swings and the fact that my hair is falling out. She gave me a starter pack of Lexapro and ordered some lab work.
Well, My Doctor called today. She got all my lab results back and.......are you ready......Everything came back normal. Thyroid, blood count, blood sugar, liver and so on. Who'da thought?
Anyway, I just thought I would let y'all know. Love ya.

That is good to know! I am glad that you aren't dying or anything LOL I love ya MOM
YAY! Lexapro RULES! My 5mg-a-day is making a huge difference
Jamie, How long were you taking Lexapro before you noticed a difference? I started with 5mg but in three more days I go to 10mg.
Mom, I'm glad too! I love you.
If I remember correctly it was atleast 2 weeks. But, then again I started that 3 1/2 yrs ago. It was my first anti depressant I ever took though. Just give it some time. YOU'll start to feel normal if you will, not nessessarily happy. It makes you kinda numb and uncreative. You get used to it though. Oh, and watch out for the sexual side effects also. Usually on as low as 10 mgs you should have no problems with the O but it gets nearly impossible to climax. Anyway, thought I would put that out there. I love you sis.
It put me to sleep inmmediately, but I started to feel really calm/ drowsy in about a week. I stopped worrying about anything. I am not used to feeling mellow, so I feel really boring and unproductive, but it's nice to not care about things so much.
I have already started feeling tired. I couldn't even get off the couch after the boys and I came home from church. Thats all I feel right now....just tired. Thanks for letting me know...you too Jilly. Love you guys.
Also, PS...I started getting my energy back after 5 weeks. It takes a while, but my husband says it's worth it! (we call 'em my bee-otch pills, just like vitamin B6). Good luck! :)
