Ok, so my house looks like a swapmeet..to quote Darrin. We made about $65-$75 on our first yard sale and we are gearing up for another one this weekend. I am really starting to think that I will stop being a pack rat. I know Darrin is reading this thinking to himself..." If only" or "Yeah, right" or "I'll believe it when I see it" lol...I can not believe how much crap I have shoved in every nook and cranny in this house. It's like on T.V. when someone opens the closet door and everything falls out...yep, Thats my house. I look at something and say.."I know I'll use this someday" and then 8 1/2 years later I still haven't used it! My best friend and partner in "crime" had gastric bypass surgery yesterday. I was at the hospital all day so I could be there when she woke up. The Doctor said she did really well and for that I am so thankful. We have a lot in common and I love her. Mel, you are gonna be so happy and healthy and not to mention how good you are gonna look. Don't get me wrong, you are beautiful now, But you are gonna be one smokin hot momma! Gabe got an award at school for participating in "Art in the middle". I now have his wood sculpture on top of the entertainment center. I love it! Yay for Gabe.

Melissa--get well quick & good luck! Laura, I can't tell you how liberating it is to finally psych myself up to throw out stuff. You just have to separate your memories and sentimentality from the things--I just have to tell myself "I have the memory--I don't need the thing." And if it's something I haven't used within the year, it's OUT OF HERE! I get a littel buzz from throwing out stuff now. Pretty soon I'm not gonna have any clothes! But my house is so much cleaner! Goodluck with that. Watch Clean Sweep if you need inspiration.
